Privacy policy

FX Battlefield by RiskDesk (“FX Battlefield”, “we”) is operated by ProDesk Pty Ltd (ACN 702 132 910, ABN 22 702 132 910), Queensland, Australia, trading as ProDesk Apps. This policy explains what information the site handles and why. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles, and we honour equivalent requests from users in other countries, including the EU and UK.
Without an account
You can use the replay, prop-challenge simulator and Academy without signing up. We then collect nothing that identifies you, apart from the analytics described below. There is no advertising on the site.
If you create an account
We store:
- Your email address, to identify your account.
- Your password, only as an Argon2id hash: a one-way scramble we can check against but cannot reverse. We never see or keep the password itself.
- What you save: replays (the steps and orders needed to rebuild them), the closed-trade summaries shown in your journal, your journal notes, your rule models and your Academy progress.
- Chart screenshots of your trades: when you trade while signed in, the app takes a picture of the replay chart at each entry and exit and stores it with the saved replay. It captures only the chart, never the rest of your screen. Deleting the replay deletes its screenshots.
- A sign-in cookie (
fxb_session), needed to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. It holds a random token, and we store only a hash of it. It is not used for tracking. - Failed sign-in attempts (the email tried and the IP address), kept for up to 24 hours to block password-guessing.
We use this information only to run your account. We don’t sell it, share it for marketing, or use it to train models. It is stored in a database on our hosting provider’s servers (Hostinger), and kept until you ask us to delete your account.
If you buy a plan
Payments are handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd and its affiliates). You enter your card details on Stripe’s own checkout page, and they go straight to Stripe: we never receive or store your card number. Stripe processes your payment information under its privacy policy, including to prevent fraud.
We give Stripe your email address and your account id so the payment is linked to your account. Stripe gives us back your Stripe customer and subscription ids, and the plan, status and renewal date of your subscription. We keep these with your account to switch your plan on and off. Stripe keeps your billing details, such as name, billing address and the last four digits and expiry date of your card, and shows them to you under Manage billing. We can see them in our Stripe dashboard for support and refunds. We keep payment records for as long as Australian tax law requires (generally five years), even after your account is deleted.
Classes
A teacher can create a class and give students a join code. Joining is your choice. When you join, the teacher can see, for as long as you are a member:
- the display name you chose when joining (not your email address);
- the trades in your saved replays: market, times, prices, profit or loss, whether each trade followed your model and which rules it broke;
- your journal notes and the chart screenshots of each trade;
- summary statistics worked out from those trades, and your Academy progress.
Teachers cannot change your replays or notes. You can leave a class at any time from Classes in the app, and the teacher loses access straight away. The teacher can also remove you or delete the class. Teachers decide how they use what they see; we ask them to use it only to teach the class (see the terms).
Stored in your browser
Your rule models, Academy progress and a few display preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage, so they are still there next time you visit. That data stays on your device; we never receive it. Clearing your browser’s site data deletes it.
Our hosting provider
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web server, it records standard technical logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Hostinger keeps these logs for a limited period under its own policies.
Fonts
Typefaces load from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore contacts Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. See Google’s privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages and features people open, and whether they start a replay, finish a lesson or try a prop challenge. Google Analytics records:
- pages viewed and named events, such as “lesson completed” or “challenge started”, with non-identifying details such as the market or lesson name;
- device, browser, screen size, referring site and approximate location (city level, worked out from your IP address; Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP address itself).
We never send your email, journal notes or anything you type to Google Analytics. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and the data is not used for advertising.
Cookies: outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years and distinguish one visitor from another. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland these cookies are not set: we don’t ask for consent there, so Google receives only cookieless signals that cannot recognise you on a later visit.
To opt out anywhere, use your browser’s tracking protection or Google’s Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Google processes this data under its privacy policy; see also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything saved in it. You can also complain about how we handle it. Email support@fxbattlefield.com from the address on your account. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Material changes will be noted on the site.
